SY Stanza is a promising two-row hulled malting and feed barley line, that is a non-GN (glycosidic nitrile) line with potential for both the brewing, distilling industries as well as a solid feed choice. It was 10% higher yielding than CDC Copeland and 1% higher than AAC Synergy. It was significantly shorter than AAC Synergy and has a much better lodging score. Kernel weight was higher than the checks and protein was lower than the checks. SY Stanza has an average disease resistance package compared to the checks.
